The Reason for the Season

T'was the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
The family was stirring,
There wasn't room for a mouse.
As we gathered around,
To read a sweet story,
The birth of our Savior..
Who was born in a manger.
A baby boy come to save the lost,
A baby boy who would die on the cross,
The reason why we have the remission of sin,
The reason why you and I are forgiven.
He was born to die,
Yes, for you and I,
Upon the Cross He paid the price,
He gave his life, the sweetest sacrifice,
Born of the womb, and buried in a tomb.
As he had said he would not stay,
Death could not bind him,
And He rose in three days.
Our savior is not dead,
we should not mourn,
But rather we should celebrate
The day He was born!!!

the mighty ripples of a tiny stone

Today I was at Starbucks, it isn't my usual Starbucks, and I don't know why I even went to that particular one. Well so I was there and I started talking to an elderly woman about our favorite drinks. So I ordered, paid, and then started to sit at the table where my buddy was already sitting. The same elderly woman sat down before me and she realzied that the chair she just took was the one that I was sitting at. She got up, but I insisted that she can sit there. My friend got a phone call and had to leave. So this lady and I started talking. She told me of her back pain and how she apprechiated me being so kind. As the converstation progressed she told me about her recently deceased husband and how hard it has been since it is christmas and all. This conversation led me to be able to ask whether she knew God or not. She told me she as a child had been a mormon but had lost her religion as she got older. I using as my phone presented the gospel to her in the form of the Romans Road. She was very interested and she got my number and our church name. She wants to come to our church this upcoming sunday!! We finished our drinks and she told me she would call me sunday morning to solidify the plans.. I was amazed as I drove home at what had just happened. So today I was the small stone that God threw that caused the ripples to effect someone elses life. I am so glad that he used me to tell this lady the gospel. What a GREAT God and a great day!!! I want many more days like this one. see normally I find myself lacking the courage to tell others about christ. today he motivated me :)

The Rocket Summer - Do You Feel

Love Lifted Me

Recently I was awakened with thoughts that had been troubling to me for quite some time. They were so strong within me that I could not sleep or even quiet my soul. I prayed for a releif from God but none came. I resorted to the only way I knew, I read my Bible. I started in psalms because I knew this pertained to my thoughts that were the problem. God lead me to the perfect passage, Psalms 63:1! "O God, thou art my God ; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water." I could have not said better what I felt in my heart! I felt desolate surrounded by thoughts of my failures in my walk with Christ. But at that time he lifted me with His holy hand and touched my hurt and aching soul. I now understand why he would not quiet my mind, he needed me to run to him fully trusting in his grace and word. Some hills he will carry you without you even having to ask him. This was a hill I had to get on my knees and plead for his help. He did come to my rescue and has enstilled within me a joy that cannot be even explained! I am a new man! "old things are passed away and All has been made new." God is an Awesome God

Hello my name is Dustin, and this is the story of His timelesslove. It all began when I was four years old when I realized that I was a sinner destined to die. (as u may imagine my thoughts were not that intricate being age 4)  I knew that there was a man named Jesus who had given his life and love for me. I knew that I needed for someone to save me. Jesus was the name that I called upon that day at the age of four, on a sunday evening, in my home, next to my parents. Romans 10:9-10  From that day the road has not been smooth and I have taken tremendous detours from the road once traveled. I have been down a road that took me from assurance in Jesus to the place where I doubted my own salvation. It took a couple years of searching God's Word and discovering my identity in Christ before I found who I am today. He has since led me to Shiloh Bible Camp where I can give of my talents and have a way to share the wonderful grace of his salvation to children. God has led me to Haiti to share my faith in the northern town of Terre Blanche where I was able to share the love that God has enstilled in me to the people there. I was richly blessed by them though they may never know it. Through my struggles and through my victories I have never lost hope that indeed I have a Savior who loves and cares for me. When I am without faith and love, He has always been there to lift me up and show His abounding timelesslove for me in ways so inexplainable that it is hard to understand unless u have had the same experience. Every thing that is physical has an end, but for my soul, this is not the end but just the beginning since I shall live eternally with Christ forever. Christ gave up His life on the cross for me that I might come to know him, not for just my life, but for all of eternity. I pray that my life will so shine as a becon of light that is set upon a hill, or as a mirror that reflects only the One who gave His life for mine. If you are in search of love you will only find a true love in Christ.  A love that you cannot put a period on for it is timelesslove!
